A hunter friend tells me in KY they were reintroduced and have caused much consternation with fishermen. He says they (the otters) unlike most predators, will "take" lots of fish but not eat them, just leave them rotting on the bank. Is that accurate?

I have seen otters eat just the head, and leave the body, but I have not personally seen them leave whole fish.
