A few new pics...

Last month we had a late winter storm. Snow covered the mountains across the valley from our place....
We didn't realize how many new herps we'd be seeing this month. First up was a trip to Yuma where Cody Hurlock showed us around and some cool herps too....
About a week ago Cody and I met up with Ben and Josh Jones and got a couple lifers and had a good time. Here's an Arizona night lizard, one of many seen...
We also saw several Gilbert's skinks, including this lifer juve for me....
Of course, there were lots of common lizards and this canyon treefrog made an appearance...
Cody and I cruised a few things later, including this mojave rattler...
Next day we went mountain climbing in La Paz County and found a couple striped whipsnakes and gopher snakes. Here's Cody and Brandon La Forest with a whip....
Things haven't been too bad at home either. On the same day this week I found this juvenile regal horned lizard in the yard with a number of other lizards...
As I was gathering up my tools to head inside this monster came cruising by....
Earlier I had seen a quail nest in the wash out front. It was full of unbroken eggs. A couple hours after seeing the gila I checked the nest again and found this....
I've found six lizard species in the yard, so far, and one gopher snake.
More later, I'm sure. Stuff should be moving this weekend....
