Your Sagebrush is actually another Coast Range Fence Lizard. Sagebrush kave smaller and less keeled scales.

I believe a quick way to check, while in the field, is the back of the rear legs.... fence...Yell. Sage... Wht. After seeing enough of each, you'll be able to tell at a glance, from the overall 'gestalt'... jim
