You're right, it makes no sense. But maybe the right thing to do would be to contact whoever is putting this info out there and voicing your concern, rather than bringing it to the attention of everyone here.

the original question was, do you think Brick111 would look good in a mankini?
I kind of think so, mostly because I look good in mine and he works out more than me.

sometimes our forum needs to just step back and remember to make it fun once in a while.
It brings the group together especially after some heated debate.
plus I enjoy making fun of people, it helps with my lymes rage.

My bad. All I remembered was a yellow flower with a frog in the background. :thumb:

I couldn't agree more. I'm getting tired of arguing with well-intentioned people over nothing.

As lyme progresses neurologically it shows in some (most? many? not sure the ammount) people as an irrational anger. Like taking the fuse on a quarter stick and cutting it down to an 1/8th of an inch. The stupidest little stuff can set you off and it is unpredictable. But it can be bad. Someone bumps into you in line and you may be about to hold a knife to their throat and you will feel like it is completely rational course of action at that time. I kinda think you may already be at that point and just not realize it yet.

I thought I had Lyme's because of horrible memory loss. But I think I ended up attributing it to waking up in the middle of the night constantly to trade forex. I now only trade the US session.

Bob, same here. Not from lack of sleep but from constantly obsessing about my trades and not paying attention to anything else going on. Your a bold dude trading forex with all the goverment intervention going on.

After years, I figured out how to be a technical trader. That said, with the sometimes crazy volatility, I've learned to keep my trades open short amounts of time. I hardly even notice the big moves. I may have lost on some big swings, but it keeps me out of whipsaws, and more importantly, I've managed to stay consistent without large drawdowns. I don't even pay attention to the news anymore. It's wonderful!

Here's a ratsnake I found on August 9, 2008. :thumb:

On the topic of no topic, mammal tracking season is comming fast. (edit: as defined as the season that fills in the gaps between herping season).

Doug, all differences aside, that definitely sucks, sorry to hear it.The getting lost in the woods is maybe the weirdest/scariest to hear about-I'm assuming you had a decent sense of direction and bearings in the woods from your past tales here so that's just really wild..I've never heard of a symptom like that,what-loss of directional sense or something? Most of the others you named are all me too except for perhaps the vision loss.
This Lyme's crap just seems amazingly misunderstood/unfamiliar to 'traditional'/western medicine. Some doctors I've gone to see about it,and I end up knowing 3x as much as they do about it!(really).....Remember it's extremely common to get test results showing false negatives. And be prepared for a-hole docs really doubting you once they see your negative test results.Talk about bias....
F'in sucks,ridiculous.

Initial treatment,~6 weeks of Doxycycline, was helpful, seemed to squash it.Symptoms came back about a year later, ignored it til I couldn't any longer.~ 2 yrs. after initial treatment, got on Doxycycline again-helped immediately(next day) but seemed to top out after eliminating say 75% of the symptoms.Frustrated,I decided to try some herbal/organic stuff.Been taking that daily for about 50 days, and the symptoms seem almost 100% supressed.

The aforementioned concoction I'm on is a 760mg pill taken twice a day containing the following-Red algae,Maitake mushroom extract, golden seal, wood betony, passion flower extract, prickly ash bark extract, cat's claw.....Well worth the 25 bucks for the bottle of 90 pills. Was looking for teasel root extract but have just about given up-that sh!t's seemingly nowhere.

I don't really need a source. It's pretty well known amonst lyme patients and lyme literate doctors. That said, my source was personal experience. My father was psycho, I got that way too, Doug is getting there, and a bunch of other people i've met. If you actually want something legit, here is a study from 2001 that I just found with a quick google search.

http://actionlyme.50megs.com/neuroborre ... ession.htm

Interesting it mentions predatory behavior. I certainly was acting like that... recently.

Here is something:
sorce: http://lymemd.blogspot.com/2010/03/lyme-rage.html
Quote:
The mental confusion returned, slowly. She returned for further treatment 6 months ago. This happy-go-lucky soul had turned into someone else. She was was filled with unbridled rage. She told me she literally felt like killing someone. She was just waiting for that someone to cross her path so she could act out her rage. She meant business.

Here, at the bottom of this article, is multiple studies cited regarding Lyme Rage.
http://www.publichealthalert.org/Articl ... 20Rage.htm

Or... You could just google it like I did. ;)

I should write up a post called Lyme, what to expect and what not to. or something like that.

I lost my sense of direction too. It's slowly getting better. I used to land somewhere in a plane and before I deboarded I could tell you North. Now not so much. I'd go out driving and get lost. Come home from somewhere on a route I'd take daily and end up going to my old house instead of my new one. Scary stuff.

You need to find a lyme specialist if you really want to get treated. The war between the CDC/IDS and the Lyme literate doctors is redicolus. If you want to get better, you NEED to find a lyme literate doc. Here is advice to EVERYONE that sees this and is just getting treated: If the first course of Doxy from your primary care doesn't fix you, then you NEED to go see a lyme literate specialist. I can't stress this enough. They primary will refer you to all kinds of people that will not help you or believe you are sick. They will tell you it is in your head. Skip the headache and go to the right people the first time!!!!! LLD's have been driven underground to some degree because treating chronic lyme patients can cost them their license. Most insurance companies will not pay them. If you haven't watched the Documentry "Under Our Skin" I suggest you do so post-haste. It will explain the politics of what is going on a lot better than I can.

Jeff/Doug, did both of you have the bullseye rash? What was the initial symptoms?

I don't think I have lyme's I've never had the rash or seen one, but as Doug knows(and some others) I do get lost in the woods sometimes. I have a autoimmune disease that causes pretty significant arthritis and the related pain causes me anger and makes it difficult to focus when I have arthritic flareups. These symptoms predate any of my hiking and aren't related to a tick bite. But all this is great info and something I will keep in mind. Thanks guys.
