At any rate, the 'manders have started moving. From what I hear, they are showing up to the ponds about a week early (here in Moscow).
Here are some Ambystoma macrodactylum shots from last night:

Oops. Sorry for the small image size. I may have been a member for a while, but I haven't taken the time to post much, so I haven't learned how to craft nice posts.

Thanks Corey!
*Update: went out again today and saw my first frog for the year - a crazy early emergence.

Very nice, Gotta love that Pineapple Express. I have been thinking about getting out seeing what I can find even though it typically too early in the Spokane area, but we are supposed to get to 58*F on Fri. I am just worried that it will snap back to freezing temps just when the plants start to bud.

Dang, I am always stunned by the coloration of the Long-toeds in your part of the world.

They're pretty flashy! Someday I hope to track down the Santa Cruz subspecies - now that's some crazy coloration.

Nice to see another N Idaho herper. I would love to come down and find some Tigers around Moscow. Nice find.

Hey Ryan! You are welcome to come down whenever, but I have no idea where one could find Idaho tigers. I do know where to find some Taricha, though.

We will have to get together for sure. Some Newts would be cool to see in Idaho!
