Yeah, I found a couple gophers this year. None as wild as the one in Wyo. That snake was ridiculously pissed. I'm gonna see if I can get some video of it on here. Any ideas how? Anyway, thanks for directing me to those posts. I feel bad for mouthing off about it now. Oops. Anyway thanks for the response.

Nice set of pics.
The frog looks like p. triseriata, but I'm not good with frogs so don't take that to serious.

Re: A few pics from this year
Your frog is Pseudacris maculata. Good to see some Wyoming stuff on here, that's a state we don't get many posts from.
Re: A few pics from this year
maculata in co?
Re: A few pics from this year
here is a slightly better pic of the frog. Hope this can help clear it up.
Re: A few pics from this year
It use to be triseriata, but it's now been changed to maculata; I believe maculata was the subspecies and the "western form" of triseriata was elevated to maculata and dubbed the Boreal Chorus Frog. I forget where I was reading about it. It may have been over at amphibiaweb.org.t3ch wrote:Nice set of pics.

Sorry we couldn't hook up when you were coming through, maybe next time.
I agree with Ryan, cool to see stuff from the WY area.

A couple years ago in that same area there were dozens of Northern leopard frogs all up and down the bank of the creek. That was before I was a part of the forum. Now there is nothing. I don't know where they went. Wish I had some photos now.

Nice finds. This looks like an eastern fence lizard to me. Not a sagebrush lizard.
The first one you posted as a sagebrush lizard is a sagebrush lizard.

Re: A few pics from this year
leopard frogs (and animals in general) can be pretty cyclic. Some years are better than others for any given species. I think I went 2 years without seeing a leopard but this year they're all over.

Thanks Paul,Paul White wrote:leopard frogs (and animals in general) can be pretty cyclic. Some years are better than others for any given species. I think I went 2 years without seeing a leopard but this year they're all over.
Two years ago they were everywhere in that one area but I only saw one last year and none this year. Maybe next year will be another good year. Hopefully. I love frogs, but I hardly ever see them in Northwest New Mexico.

I enjoyed this post Travis. We will be doing a chapter trip to your neck of the woods next spring.
