A couple of final animals

Post by Brian Eagar »

Well with the snow down to around 6500 feet last week and the encroaching cold front that hit this week on Wed.
I decided I had to get out for at least 1.5 hours on Tuesday before dark to see if I could see some final animals this year.
Managed to flip a couple of whipsnakes and a couple of racers in the west desert.
They are always fun to find. Wish I'd had more time and could have arrived earlier in the day.

I had no time to get better shots of this little racer:

or this adult whipsnake:

I did however spend a little more time on this whipsnake:

Nice shots Brian! Some may think I'm crazy, but whipsnakes are some of my favorite snakes to find.
