The last half of the year I didn't make it out a ton. I was mostly saving my time and money for AZ. I did get out a little bit locally and turned up a few things.
In June I mostly did some hiking and camping.

After taking a few photos of this rattlesnake, we moved it off of the road. The next pass we found it had crawled back out on the road and had been hit by a car.

This was one of the largest lutosus I have found.

This year I started trying to get decent shots of turtles. I found it pretty challenging and fun trying to sneak up on them before they would dive back into the water. I think I managed a few good shots.

After returning from AZ, I realized herping locally in UT just isn't the same . I still got out occasionally to enjoy the remaining decent weather.

I took one last trip down to Washington Co. in October. I wasn't herping, but came across a couple incidentals.

On November 14th, I decided to check out a den I found earlier in the year. I expected to see a few garters out, but it surprised me to see a racer out too that late in the year. It is the latest in the year I have found snakes.

Thanks for looking. I've got a few plans and goals for 2017 in the works. Hopefully I'll see some of you in the field this year.
