Cedar Rapids is #17? Really? Why does Iowa have 4 cities on that list, and Alaska only has three?

Also, most of the "cities" in Alaska are on the coast and therefore not that cold. Fairbanks is the only inland city in AK.

Think about our poor Canadian members - MOST of their cities more than 150 miles inland top this list. Edmonton's average daily January temperature is 10°F, Yellowknife's is -16°F. That's their average temp, not their average low. Their average high is a balmy -8.9°F

The high temperature here where I live today is going to be right around the average June high temp for Yellowknife, and the weatherman said we were in for a cold weekend.

It could be worse, you could live in Yakutsk. Average January temperature = -39°

We're not meant to live anywhere that frigging cold. I draw the line at *averages* below 0.
