Thanks - herps are alot easier to photograph than the bears and ground squirrels!

Really enjoy the mammals that we're thrown into this post, especially that gorgeous red fox pup! I think some of the IDs got switched around though. Not a huge deal but I think you can edit a post if you want. Thanks for sharing!

I always enjoy seeing your name on a post. I love your style and wish I had some of your talent in my shots. The Bear looks close, too close. I can say that I agree the thirteen lines are a pain to shoot. I've never gotten a good shot.

wow - great pics! That black bear shot is amazing. How close were you to it? I've been up close to them several times with no good shots for my effort. Quite a rush though!

To answer your question about the Black Bear - I was a safe distance, use a zoom and carry bear spray
Cheers

The first gray tree frog is gorgeous. I also love the ground squirrel (never seen one), the bears, and the fox pups.

Nir,
Good question - the Black Rat Snake is from West Virginia- I was lucky enough to see 2 of them. They are beautiful snakes.
If you want to see one in Ontario, the only place I know of is the area to the north of Kingston - there are some Provincial Parks in the area where you stand a good chance of seeing one.
Many in the area there claim to have seen them around or crossing roads. It kind of comes down to luck.
Regards

Great photo's Ashley! Even though I'm primarily a snake guy, those bear photo's are awesome. Beautiful post all around.
