Just clearing out my phones photo gallery. I finally purchased a DSLR and went with the Canon T3i. I cannot wait to get out and take it herping! In the meantime and in no order, here are some examples of what I have seen so far this year.

For my birthday, my girlfriend and I took a trip to Wakulla, Florida. The herps were scarce but we came away with a couple lifers.

Pseudemys c. suwanniensis

Terrapene c. major

Regina rigida (lifer)

Nerodia clarkii (lifer) This and the glossy crayfish snake were taken back to the hotel for photos because the mosquitoes were too unbearable to photograph them in the marsh. Both were released the following morning.

Nerodia clarkii upon release.

As you can see, I have had an excellent year so far. I must say that I would not have seen many of these animals if it were not for the advice and, in some cases, the direct guidance of my friends and fellow herpers. I must thank Chris Montross, Noah Fields, David Fields, Joseph Jenkins, and Josh Young for lending your help and, more importatly, your trust. Until next time, Happy Herping!

I like that first king a lot, is it an Eastern/speckled intergrade?

Cool stuff, all of it!

Was that the Wakulla River in the shot with the basking suwanniensis? If so, that is the murkiest I've ever seen it and I would guess that your B'Day was soon after the heavy rains the panhandle got a while back.

Super great finds. My favorite is the Plestiodon anthracinus, that is awesome.

Looks like a great year so far, Robb,

That 2nd moccasin shot (after the Mole sal) with "hourglass" markings is a great shot to show lay folks how related they are to Copperheads.

I found that corn in Conecuh NF during one of the indigo outings.

Indeed, it was the Wakulla River. The water was very dark, like paddling in tea. Visibility was only about 18''. The guide at the kayak outfitters said that ever since that tropical storm sat on the area a couple years ago, it doesn't take very much rain to murk up the water now.

It was from Barbour County, AL (Eufaula) so from a geographical point, I would think it SHOULD be ''pure'' eastern. The one below it was found only half an hour south, on the GA side of the Chattahoochee.
