Cambodia ID help Please

Post by Muchobirdnerd » June 26th, 2014, 5:40 pm

Hello a friend asked if I could help with some frog IDs. If anyone can shine any light on these it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

Jim,
The first frog is the Black-spined Toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus), a common species found throughout Southeast Asia; the second frog is the Painted Narrow-mouth Frog (Kaloula pulchra), also a very common species throughout the region; the third frog is the Rhacophorid, Polypedates leucomystax (or it might be P. megacephalus), and the last frog looks like one of the Dicroglossid frogs in the genus Fejervarya (most likely F. limnocharis). All four are rather common species from that region. I hope this helps.

The third frog is Polypedates leucomystax, I agree with Paul on the suggestions for the other three.
