Very impressive, Brian. I hope to join you there, and will, by the year 2160. Sooner if they get around to inventing jetpacks between now and then...

Given there are only 3 other topics posted on this subject, it's a good thing you made another one. I might have missed it otherwise.

Actually that's my way of saying "Damn you, Brian, for hitting all those counties!" I got a hunger for the open road and an empty pocketbook....

"Road Trip!" It's really fun to plan a road trip around hitting HERP counties that are not recorded and getting county records. That is how I learned to respect cricket frogs, for example, and appreciate them for their success. :thumb:

Actaully, there is a county in GA not too far from me with no records. I've been thinking of going, but I swear, if all I find are cricket frogs.....or worse - GREENHOUSE frogs......I'm gonna scream!

 Hey you will get a "new county" point for finding one and a county record, so its not all bad.. :D
We also need EDB records from Georgia we just had a request for them and they are going to do a request
for them every 2 years or so..

In my defense, I posted this thread first...last night, before Fundad posted his congrats threads...so yeah, I'm guilty of tooting my own horn...oh well... 8-)

Go make some money and spend it getting data, that's what we do...

Make extra money in one of the most frugal states in America? It's easier to find EDB's.

Well, I think reptile stores still need brown anoles for feeders... 8-) and the browns are non-native...so you'd be doing a service and getting paid for it.

See a county sans a record, jump on it! Sans apology.

My area suffers from Hubbsitis, a condition where all available counties within 500-700 miles have herp vouchers due to some guy named Brian. So, if you can do your part to stem the spread it would be an invaluable service. Seeing a county Hubbs hasn't is a dream we western herpers can only imagine. Carpe herp. Seize the voucher!

Most of my 188 "new counties" have not come from AZ or CA (only a couple in CA that I'm aware of, and maybe only 3 in AZ). The rest are from KS, NE, IA, OK, CO, TX, GA, MO, SD, IN, KY, LA and FL (and a few other states I do not recall at this time). There is plenty left all over the country...it just takes time and gas.

In looking back...I didn't enter anything in 2006, 2007, or 2008...and only 98 records in 2009. In 2010 I entered 1,500+ (mostly historical from old slides). In 2011 I entered 2,694 (mostly from that year), and it just kept going...but has never gone above that 2011 total. Don't get addicted to the database or you might do the same thing... :o
