Possible Albino Garter?
Thought some here might find this one interesting. Snake found by someone in Oregon, somewhere between Eugene and Portland. Trying to get better pics. Apparently it is resident in a compost pile, so may be seen again.

Looks in deep preshed
Re: Possible Albino Garter?
Inexplicably, that didn't occur to me ...but seen lots of snakes in shed cycle and that would be the most obscured I recall. Let's see what others say.
Re: Possible Albino Garter?
Hey monklet, hard to really see on this phone but it look like eye has even cleared and snake ready to be off with it. Keeled guys seem to have some burly corneum
Re: Possible Albino Garter?
I can't tell just what's up with the eye at all, even blown up in Photoshop ...BUT, since no one else has expressed any opinion, I'll go with the default, peak shed cycle!
Never knew there was a correlation between keeled scales and "burly" eye caps.

Re: Possible Albino Garter?
Not Keeled = Burly Eyecaps. I meant the heavy opacity of the overall corneum which in keeled snakes seems thicker sometimes.
and I only meant that in the blurry pic in my phone the eye looked dark, like it was clear and close to shedding.
