Hmmm...
Dell, looks like you've done some traveling. I'll give it a shot. Some are no-brainers and others are tricky. I bet I get 9 of 13. Here goes...

1 Steelhead
2 Snook
3 Brown trout
4 Arawana?
5 Common Carp?
6 Redfish
7 Brook trout
8 Peacock bass
9 Cutthroat trout?
10 Rainbow trout
11 Catfish (Red fin?)
12 Piranha?
13 Butterfly Peacock?
14 Land-locked salmon. (Complete guess)

Thanks for the quiz and seeya in 6 or 7 days.

Well I wish we had a few more people play, but these kinda guessing games can be tedious at times. Tim and Kanus the two of you made good solid educated picks, and know a thing or two about fish.

#1. Just a Rainbow trout from the Yellowstone river.

#2. Snook from Keywest.

#3. Brown trout from the Bighorn river.

#4. Arawana- I thought this one would trip a few folks up, but it didn't. Great game fish w/ really good eyesight.

#5. Carp, from the Bighorn. And here is another one caught on the Yellowstone, w/ a different look to it's scales. An over looked gamefish in my opinion. With that said I still don't fish to them enough.

#6 Redfish.

#7. Brook trout.

#8. Peacock Bass ( Cichla temensis).

#9. Cutthroat trout.

#10. Rainbow.

#11. Surubim catfish. Not the Tiger, but I'd love to catch the tiger.
Here is a Redtail cat Tim. It ate half a Piranha.
Image

#12. Anther Cutthroat trout. Interesting guess w/ the Piranha, because looking at the skin shot photo I could see how you would guess that, I've caught some w/ small black spots and a red underbelly.
Here's an up close skin shot.

Close up of the business end.

Close up of an idiot after he was trying to get a photograph of the teeth. Yes it's me. I'll never do that again.

#13. Another Peacock Bass. (C. temensis again.)

#14. Brown trout from the Yellowstone. Some of the Browns on the Yellowstone can have a true blue hue to them.

Thanks for playing.

Dell, that was a great quiz and I did better than I thought I would. I mostly guessed Pirahna because of the other SA fish involved...a semi-calculated gamble.

'You been swingin' any big streamers?

I went and looked at one of my favorite skinny water, Snook/Red spots of all time a few days ago. It's a long, long way off the beaten path and you've gotta scratch the hull pretty good to "get in."
'Empty...completely empty. A moment of silence please. :(
