Well .... Jim you know us herpers have a sense of humor...

A decade or so ago I was babysitting a friends pair of L. nigrita. They were every bit 57-58 inches long.
One shed while in my care. I took the shed out and placed it under a friends boardline.
He posted a pick here, saying there must be a 5 foot Cal kingsnake in that area.
I called him later and got a really good laugh.....

Years back, there was the discovery of an Crotalus oreganus out by Barstow, who found that one? That's also bizarre.

I also found a Crotalus enyo on Whitewater Rd. years ago. It was documented here if you search.

Didn't someone post here on the forums a few years ago, a DOR Ball Python that was found near the desert on Hwy 74 or Hwy 243?

I have no doubt that the entire region out there in the San Gorgonio Pass/Palm Springs area is a dumping ground for unwanted reptiles. No telling what may be discovered out there over time.

I also found a green ratsnake made of rubber on Whitewater. RockRatt had written his name in sharpie on the underside. I put it back, so the joke would continue.

But, I do agree with you Steve. You never know what you are getting into.

I have had some sketchie situations on popular roads in AZ as well.

Ok. So I'm starting up the sea snakes in the Salton Sea thing again. From seagulls most likely....

I'm expecting to see a Bearded Dragon one of these days, sunning himself in Anza-Borrego, and I won't be surprised if and when it happens.

An atrox finding it's way naturally into the Berdoos is at least a remote possibility, but considering all the other stuff we find in that area, I personally have to assume it was a released animal.
