Long time no post: 2017/2018 USA + Australia

Post by Zach_Lim »

Hey everyone,

Zach here. It has been a very long time since I made a post here on FHF. I was able to travel a bit towards the end of 2017, with a road trip through the Southern United States and an impromptu trip to Melbourne, VIC, Australia for my 30th birthday (man, I feel old). I'll lay off the heavy commentary on the photos, as I am a tad busy today at work, but I would like to thank all my friends, new and old, in the South and in Australia who showed me a good time! Thank you so much to my friends at home for always being down to go out and naturalizing.

Working as a naturalist for the last two years, I developed a love for all things nature, not just herps, so please excuse the fungi and insects!

Cheers to a good 2018

The imagery here is superb :thumb:

I particularly enjoyed:

Clint Eastworm
Her majesty
Mama Wolfie daycare and all her little monkeys
Dreamweaver
Rolie Polie assassin ( everytime I see those they run like hell and never stop long enough for a photo. Cool to see one up close in excellent detail)
Ms. Skilton's tattered blue dress
Fungus is cool
Porcelain God
Highway child. He knows that road like the back of his... back
Porcupine X Shrew hybrid
Jiminy Grasshopper
Tigger
If I had a bell frog I'd ring it in the morning
Salamander Sweet Leaf
Redbeard the Draytonii

Very nice photography Zach

Awesome, Zach! I'm really digging those spider close ups and the fungi are cool too! A couple of my particular favorite are the canebrake and the juvie racer with its head perked up. Great post.

Very nice Zach!

Especially the crustacean & fungi photos...and those are some classic southeastern US snake finds.
Were you using your home made light box? If so, I need to make one.
