Hey Monklet,
The snake in my avatar is one of my male breeder Extreme Okeetees. He's an "Abbove" Okeetee (lol: ABBott x lOVE). I have a project going to try and selectively breed Okeetees with at least 1/2 their dorsal blotches black. I'm hopefully only one generation away. I usually cross this box my a thick bordered buckskin female.
Below he's breeding the buckskin female. His orange blends well with the buckskin to create a yellowish/orange background on the offspring:
Here's another pic of the female buckskin that I almost always pair him up with. I had a few nice abbott okeetees that I did breed him to BUT the babies- although VERY NICE- just didn't get the super duper thick borders I'm trying to breed for... maybe I'm just a tad too picky:
Here is a pic of offspring from this pairing almost extactly 1 year apart:
Misc pic of some 2010/yearling holdbacks from the pair:
Enjoy!
Graham

Hey, thank Graham! Very nice of you to oblige
Awesome stuff Not so into all the corn morphs but taking the best of the naturals and breeding for extremes of that floats my boat. Great job there. Hope to see more in the future

LOL- I know. I breed a ton of high end corns and oddball colubrids... it pays the mouse bills...buys my gas for herp trips...and supports my real passion- crotalids. I spend way to much money on my rattlers BUT I love 'em.monklet wrote:Hey, thank Graham! Very nice of you to oblige

LOL- since you don't really like morphs here's one that'll make ya gag. Scaleless Texas Ratsnakes. I have a 2.3 group of animals (adults/subadults). I had a small clutch hatch out on 7-14-11
One of the subadults:

Love the last photo of the Corn snake. That snake is exceptional. The scaleless Rats are pretty cool looking.

Re: For Monklet--- Extreme Okeetee Corn
dont tell me the bellies of those okeetees are a clean spectacular black / white checkerboard or my little mind will just be blown to pieces
Re: For Monklet--- Extreme Okeetee Corn
yes - that male of yours looks like a little bonfire .
when i move , im planning to house my snakes in large naturalistic vivaria once they are adults . i like different snakes for different reasons and planned on taking some rescue corn and setting it up in some nice diverse environment . i like corns i find a kind of sweet warmth and entertainment in their behaviors . i will keep my word about the nondescript rescue , but seeing those heavy borders and dense color tested me !
