Alright, I give up...

Post by TeeJay »

...am I just too old and dumb to post photos or has something changed? I've uploaded images in the past...just can't seem to make it work anymore! I've gotten as far as "insert Img" then can't go any further. (I've got a load of pics all ready to go in PhotoBucket) Gotta tell ya folks...this site is great, but sure seems like the most Complicated format to figure out. Thanks for any help.

You're just going to give up?!

Well I am not giving up. Did we just give up after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? No!

Who was it that made that famous quote, can't remember???

Ok, seriously. Just copy the full Photobucket url to an image into the edit window, then highlight and click the "Img" button above the edit box. That will enclose the image url in psuedo-code html image tags and the system will interpolate accordingly to render your image in place. ...try it:)

...and while you guys are giving out intstruction, how do I highlight a single sentence from a post/reply to add a comment to? (A wise man once told me but I never followed his advise to fruition.)

Tim I'm not Borksi wrote:Please highlight me ok.
Use the quote tool on some text when editing and look at the markup it adds - then just copy that pattern of markup (opening and closing tags) wherever you want to do it.:)

i just don't get it

I guess I'm misunderstanding something very basic or making it harder than it is or I'm stupid. "Mark up it adds?"

Monklet, I'll go back and look at what you wrote.

Chad - that animation had is flamin' hilarious!!!   thanks for that.

Tim - sorry about the misspelling ;( ...I sent you a PM about this monkey business. Too hard to explain here because showing examples of markup markups it up ...don't worry, it's a markup thing.

Tim,

Left click and hold that down while you drag the mouse over the text. This will "highlight" it. Then to to the top of the right of the text box and choose a color by clicking one of the colored squares on the side. I hope this helps you out.
