Re: Favorite Finds and/or Pictures of 2015

I'll play! Last year was a particularly speciose year for me, so picking my favorite finds will be difficult. I also managed a few lifers that had long been glaring holes in my life-list. I saw a ton of Speckled Rattlesnakes, this one might be my favorite capture though. https://farm8.staticflickr.c...

Batrachoseps question

Hi folks, I got a chance to do some road cruising Tuesday and Wednesday nights and managed a few fun finds. I have an ID question as well, if anyone could help me. My first herp of 2016 was a slightly unexpected one. As we drove along a road well known for the dramatically more prevalent Baja Treefr...

Re: Anybody interested in herping around Destin FL this week

Hello all, Big thanks to my friend and tour guide Nick for the incredibly fun day in the field. Sure the weather was lousy, but animals were found, and good times were had. I even managed a couple lifers. Destin Florida seems to be a fairly difficult place to herp, much of the areas that look suitab...

Anybody interested in herping around Destin FL this weekend?

Hello all, Its been a while since I've been able to post anything in this forum, but with my upcoming trip to Destin Florida this coming weekend (October 3-4th) I'm hoping to change that. Hey Dave! Glad to have you! If it makes you feel any better, I have always stunk at finding snakes. I've always been a lizard guy though, so it works out. Hey all, we actually kinda had a rough day out there, in the end only observing 7, maybe 8 herp species. As we were getting close to our starting area, we found about 4 DOR Pacific Gophers around 9:30am. We should have road cruised during this beginning portion of the trip, because after we placed a...
