Very nice. I have been to Taiwan a couple of times. The Russells proved to be the hardest of the larger venomous snakes to find. We did find a 4ft DOR Russells in the SW part of the island, but no live ones. We also never saw a coral. So much herp diversity there.

Cheers :)

Indeed snakes can be hard to find I. Taiwan, but once certain locations are known it can also be ridiculously high snake counts in a night. Dont feel bad, I have had more nights of 0 than I have had nights of 5+ over about 20 years haha.

Russell's are hard, need to head to certain towns in Taitung for better chances. But they arent that easy for sure. Corals are easier, certain mountain roads have good chances depending on weather :) Especially central mountain range.

these are old pics, sorry. but some taiwnaese corals. one of my favorite, and docile as anything!!

Haven't been here for a bit. Some more snake pics. We just found a Russell viper tonight. Not too common out here in taiwan, always a great day when a Russells is found!
