iNaturalist and Herpmapper document several sightings of blind snakes along the north coast of Kauai, but so far I haven't been able to find anything at any of the four sites I've checked so far. Does anyone have tips on where to look? I have been checking under rocks, logs, and leaf litter, at least a few meters beyond the high tide mark. What type of soil do they prefer? I'm worried that the sandy substrate closer to the beach isn't appealing to them, though that's where some of the sightings are marked.
Also if there are other cool reptiles to watch out for I'd appreciate tips on where to find them! I've seen one day gecko and many brown anoles so far.

I have no idea but have you tried asking plant nurseries especially any that receive imported plants? I believe they are often found in potted plants from florida nurseries.
